JBig2 is an image compression format for black and white images that offers significant improvements of Fax Group 4 compression.

JB2 is a compression format that is based on JBig2 that is used by the DjVu file format for compressing bitonal images and masks.

.JB2 is also the extension used for JBig2 files.
